Feature: BLOOD BANK

 

Three young Conservatives, Rollo, Oliver and Tom have had it easy all their lives until they make the decision to steal two million pounds worth of contraband donor blood. With three South African ex-militia hunting them down to get it back, the boys must fight to survive the night. 

 

A full-strength thriller with a moral queasiness at its heart, Blood Bank is a fresh way into exploring the entrenched power of privilege and inherited wealth; but this isn't a polite piece of political intrigue, it's all wrapped up in an exhilarating ticking-clock narrative and outrageous violence.  

We have a script and a fantastic actor attached for the part of 'Tom' - Graham Dickson. We also have a schedule and budget that has been created in collaboration with producer Jack Tarling.

In the optimistic buzz of New Labour’s election victory, a middle-aged and childless woman finds that a new era of hope is still far from accepting her life choices.

 

Set the weekend after Labour’s victory. Maria, single and working-class, goes to the party of a younger woman she used to look after - and, in this national moment of great togetherness, comes to realise some of the cultural, financial, and social gaps between her and the next generation.
