Ben Woodsmith

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AND DIRECTOR

Ben is an independent film and television producer. 

His short film ‘BEST’ (dir: William Oldroyd – Lady MacBeth) won Best Short Film at The Sundance Film Festival in London in 2014.

Other credits include ‘ANNA ISLAND’ (dir: Dolly Alderton) and 'NEW YEAR’ (dir: Lauren Bensted) which was selected for Film London's London Calling slate and awarded production funding in association with BFI Net.Work, Creative Skillset and Wandsworth Short Film Fund. 

His feature film ‘IN MID WICKEDNESS’ (dir: William Oldroyd) was shot in Georgia, in the Georgian language and is based on the original play 'THE FORTY' by Howard Barker.

 

Ben’s television credits are across a range of genres including entertainment, popular factual and comedy. Highlights include: The Question Jury (C4) Play To The Whistle (ITV) What Was I Inking? (Facebook Watch), Celebrity Juice (ITV). He’s also developed formats such as: Beat The Chasers (ITV), Virtually Famous (E4) and The Question Jury (C4).

 

Ben’s latest short, ‘BETTER’, was funded by BFI Short Film Fund and recently had its world premiere at LFF 2023.

Tiff Woodsmith

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Tiff is an award-winning writer and Dramaturg. After studying Literature at Durham University, Tiff worked extensively on the London Fringe devising, writing and performing. Tiff has trained with Philippe Gaulier in Paris and has a Masters in Writing for Performance and Dramaturgy from the University of Goldsmiths London. 

Tiff was associate artist with en masse theatre company, with whom she created ‘The Echo Chamber' (Fringe First 2003) 'The Ignatius Trail' (Fringe First 2004) and toured internationally. Tiff is also an associate artist with Spymonkey

Credits as playwright include: 'Roundabout' (Bush Theatre, 2012) 'The Little Matchgirl,' 'Dracula: L’amour plus fort que la mort,' 'Pandora,' 'What’s The Matter' and 'King Arthur’ (all Last Baguette Theatre Company;)  'Shaking Cecelia' (Sunday Times Playwriting Award 2004) and 'The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote de La Mancha' (Stage Award for Excellence, 2013.) Tiff has written two episodes of the critically acclaimed comedy drama podcast 'Wooden Overcoats' which received the Best of iTunes Award at the British Podcast Awards.
